Keyword rank tracking · App Store + Google Play
App ranking tracker for the App Store and Google Play
See where your app ranks for every keyword that matters, on both stores, every day. GetAppNiche checks each tracked keyword once a day and shows today's position, the change since yesterday, your best position in the last 30 days and a 14-day line. Up to 500 keywords, part of Pro at $39/month.
What the tracker shows
Every keyword, every day
Each tracked keyword is checked once a day in the store's real search results, for the country you choose (and the language, on Google Play).
The numbers that matter
Today's rank, the change since yesterday, your best rank in the last 30 days and a 14-day line, so a new screenshot set or title shows up as movement, not a guess.
App Store and Google Play
Track the same keyword on both stores side by side. Google Play positions are what most people in that country see, without personal search history.
500 keywords, imported in batches
Track up to 500 keywords per account. Paste up to 50 at a time, or pick from suggestions for your app.
Email when positions move
Get position updates by email: new top-10 keywords, lost ones, and the biggest moves. One click turns them off.
CSV export
Export your keywords with rank, daily change and best 30-day rank to a spreadsheet whenever you need a report.
Example: who ranks for "habit tracker" today
This is the raw material a rank tracker works from: the real search results for one keyword, checked on October 22, 2026 in the US store. Tracking turns a snapshot like this into a daily line for your own app. Check any keyword yourself with the free App Store keyword tool.

How to track your app's rankings
- Add your app. Search for it by name on the Keywords screen; the store, country and language come from the app.
- Add keywords. Paste up to 50 at a time, or pick from suggestions. Start with the phrases in your name and subtitle, plus a few you'd like to rank for.
- Read the morning numbers. Positions are collected once a day. Watch the daily change after every metadata update, and the 30-day best to see your ceiling.
- Prune and repeat. Drop keywords you'll never rank for, add new ones, and export a CSV when you need to report progress.
Not sure which keywords to track? Our data-backed App Store optimization guide shows what top apps put in their names, and the ASO tools comparison covers other trackers.
Is it the right tracker for you?
GetAppNiche is built for indie developers and small teams who want rank tracking next to keyword difficulty, revenue and download estimates and review monitoring, in one plan. Some needs are better served elsewhere:
- Hourly checks: Appfigures checks rankings hourly on its paid plans.
- Thousands of keywords: Sonar's Indie plan tracks 2,500 keywords, and agency suites like AppTweak scale further.
- App Store only, lowest price: Astro is a Mac app at $108 a year with no cap on keyword count.
- Rankings in your own scripts: GetAppNiche's API and MCP don't include rank tracking today.
Competitor details are from each vendor's own site, checked October 20, 2026.
App ranking tracker FAQ
What is an app ranking tracker?
An app ranking tracker checks where your app appears in App Store or Google Play search results for the keywords you care about, every day, and shows how those positions change over time. It's how you find out whether a new title, subtitle or set of screenshots actually moved you up.
Does GetAppNiche track rankings on Google Play too?
Yes. Keyword rank tracking covers both the App Store and Google Play. Google Play positions are what most people in the chosen country see, without personal search history. Separately, the Rankings screen shows Apple's top charts in 10 countries and Google Play's US top charts.
How often are app rankings checked?
Once a day for every tracked keyword. You see today's position, the change since yesterday, the best position in the last 30 days and a 14-day line. If you need hourly checks, some specialist trackers offer them on higher plans.
How many keywords can I track?
Up to 500 keywords per account at a time, on both stores combined. You can import up to 50 keywords at once and remove ones you no longer need to make room.
Can I get rankings through the API or MCP?
Not today. Keyword rank tracking lives in the GetAppNiche app. The REST API and the MCP server cover keyword difficulty, app data, revenue and download estimates and reviews, but there's no rank-tracking endpoint and no rank-tracking tool in MCP.
How much does it cost?
Rank tracking is part of GetAppNiche Pro: $39/month, or $249/year ($20.75/month). The same plan includes keyword difficulty, revenue and download estimates for 3.6M+ apps, review monitoring, the API and MCP.
