Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GetAppNiche ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website at getappniche.com, our web application at app.getappniche.com, and related services (together, the "Service"). It also describes your privacy rights and how to exercise them. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. This policy works together with our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
GetAppNiche provides App Store (iOS) market intelligence for indie founders, marketers, and ASO teams. We are independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.; all trademarks belong to their owners.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, where you provide it, your name. We use these to identify you, secure your account, and communicate with you about the Service.
Google profile (Google sign-in)
If you choose to sign in with Google (Google OAuth), Google shares basic profile information with us — your email address and name. We use this information solely to create and authenticate your account. We request only the minimum scopes needed to sign you in, and we do not access your Google account beyond that basic profile information.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you purchase a paid plan, you provide payment details directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card numbers. Stripe shares limited information with us — such as your subscription or purchase status, plan, and the last few digits or card brand needed to support and manage your billing.
Usage and analytics data
We collect product-usage and analytics data about how you interact with the Service — for example, pages and features viewed, actions taken, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and similar technical information. This helps us operate, secure, measure, and improve the Service.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account.
- To authenticate you and keep the Service and your account secure.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions, and handle refunds and chargebacks.
- To respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
- To understand usage, measure performance, and improve features and reliability.
- To send service-related and, where permitted, marketing emails (see "Marketing Emails" below).
- To comply with legal obligations and to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to create your account and provide the Service you have signed up for, including processing payments.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service, and to prevent fraud and abuse, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — where required, for analytics cookies and for marketing emails. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, such as tax and accounting requirements.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use two categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly-necessary / session cookies — required to sign you in, keep you authenticated, and operate core features. The Service cannot function properly without these.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — used to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using the Service. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting analytics cookies, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Sub-Processors and Third Parties
We share personal information with a small number of trusted service providers who process it on our behalf to run the Service. We do not sell your personal information. Our current sub-processors are:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Google — sign-in (Google OAuth) and website analytics (Google Analytics 4).
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — transactional and marketing email delivery (Amazon SES).
- DigitalOcean — hosting and infrastructure for the Service.
- Cloudflare — DNS and content delivery (CDN).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect the rights, safety, and security of GetAppNiche or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (subject to this policy).
International Data Transfers
We and our sub-processors may store and process your information in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms — to protect your information in line with this policy and applicable law.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data as described under "Your Privacy Rights".
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration — including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure and payment providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.
Your Privacy Rights
EEA and UK (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request access to and deletion of your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, email us at yaroslav91@gmail.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may make a request yourself or through an authorized agent.
Marketing Emails
With your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, we may send you marketing emails about features, updates, and offers. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Opting out of marketing does not affect service-related messages we need to send you — such as billing notices, security alerts, and important account or policy updates.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children. It is not intended for anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at yaroslav91@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or to legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
